Herzele meeting: Friday 26th February and departures

 

 Friday: rehearsal of the project song and recording it!
In the evening we had the farewell-party together with the hostfamilies..
Singing the project-song together with all the delegations was a magic moment!
(And we ended having... Belgian fries!)

Herzele meeting: Thursday 25th February

Thursday: some more projectwork (finishing manual) and jobshadowing for teachers. The students also enjoyed a CLIL-lesson (sports).
In the afternoon: excursion to Ypres. Visiting the museum of Flanders Fields and do the CWXRM- workshop. (creation of sculptures for the installation in 2018). In the evening, there was a moment of silence attending the Last Post...  More pictures following this link

Herzele meeting: Wednesday 24th February

Wednesday: Brussels!
A visit to the Visitor Centre of the European Parliament and a city-walk. Guide of the day: Mr De Buck! (pointing the Belgian-German borders?) ;)
In the evening the Erasmus teachers enjoyed a delicious winter-barbecue!

Herzele meeting: Tuesday 23rd February

Tuesday: Time for projectwork (the manual) and jobshadowing for teachers.
In the afternoon we made a visit to Ghent. ((Children's rights walk).

Herzele meeting: Monday 22nd February

Monday: today we welcomed the different delegations at school and at the town hall of Herzele. There was a schooltour and we started our projectwork (totem of Babel). In the afternoon we had a teambuilding and... Belgian waffles!! :-)

Presentation, our Everest: Different Languages

In Belgium we dealt with our Everest: The difficulties learning languages. The Austrian delegation made this video the present this problem:

The Herzele meeting is getting closer

The Herzele meeting will take place in just a few days.  All is ready...

Our rucksack: Next destination Belgium!!!

Our rucksack will travel from country to country.  It will help us to climb our Everests along the way.  We'll keep our travel passport and our good practices in there.
The next destination will be Herzele in Belgium where we will deal with a new challenge:  working with different languages

Working with the Christmas song in Belgium
